So while waiting for numerous analysts to actually get yearly changes to me for updates, I've been working on my blackwork here and there at work. Today I realized though that I left my pattern at home.
It shouldn't be too hard to do it without right? I've stitched the entire motif like 4 times already.
So begins the ripping out stage. After the fifth time ripping stitches out I just gave up for the day.
On another note though, Today was Alyvia's 6 month (okay so its a little late) pictures. Here is the sneak peek pic from Kimi Pollett Photography!
All of my ramblings to do with EVERYTHING! Originally this blog was just for SCA related crafts, but why limit it? This will just be my blog in general. You can skip posts, jump around, whatever is clever!

Gorgeous little gal! Her headband is adorable.
ReplyDeleteYeah... eff blackwork! Way too much sanity seems to get lost with that stuff...
You might have less of a hate-hate relationship to Blackwork if you didn't do the counted work style. Some peeps forget that not all blackwork is counted. Just draw an awesome design and do a stem, split, or backstitch to make it happen on the fabric. No counting or exact repeats necessary. Could also make your flames look more flamey to Sal (though I do happen to like your counted work flames with a rediculous amount of giddyness).
ReplyDeleteAlso, your girl is sooo effing cute. But you knew that.
